Why Support Genesis Diez

 Thanks to the charitable giving of people like you, Genesis has begun working towards it's dream of enhancing the lives of the displaced children of Baja. Your gifts and contributions allow Genesis to operate programs with the Orphanage (Casa Hogar) children year-round.

 The most beneficial programs are the ones that allow children to understand and realize their self-worth wrapped in love and concern for others. We involve the children in our on-going programs as well as our Church Missions and Service Adventures with Casa Hogar approval and supervision. Projects completed without the interaction of the children are only an indirect passive benefit to them (although important and of great direct benefit to the institution). Our emphasis is to allow opportunities for growth and responsibility through a child's individual involvement in their enrichment experience. This is a direct benefit that engages the mind and spirit of the child throughout the activity.

 Remember the opportunities you were given or wish you would have had as a child. How much did they (or would they) mean to you? Now, what if they never happened and, on top of that, you did not have any direct or consistent immediate family involvement emotionally or physically. What difference does this make in life?

 We think it makes a huge difference. In the United States or other developed nations, there is also need. You don't have to look further than your own local area. However, unlike these nations that have thousands of solutions and opportunities for displaced and impoverished children through schools, communities and organizations, Mexico has extremely limited resources.

 Genesis Diez, A.C. focuses on the troubles facing these children and reshapes their lives to become contributing members of their community. If you have not experienced the work of Genesis first hand, we encourage you to participate in a Church Mission or Service Adventure program, and come face-to-face with the children we serve.
